If there is one church that say ABQ, it would be de Niri in old town. We don't often get the opportunity to shoot there but we love when we do! Last week had us working with Deanna and Steven. We had a great time and didn't even mind the breeze. Here are a couple of their images, I will get more posted after I get through all of their images!!
So Kelsyn our youngest son learned a poem in Pre-k. We picked up a little sony HD camera last week and wanted to try it out in the studio under some low light. It worked pretty good and Kels did a great job on his poem! It may take a little time to load so be patient!
The morning of Jenn and Tony's wedding we woke up early to the sound of howler monkeys and peacocks in the treetops out side of our window. My day began early at an amazing golf course for a full 18, while Desiree met up with the ladies for some morning ocean kayaking. I learned a new term for a nasty shank into the trees, 'monkey ball' someone shanked it and swears he must have hit a monkey so the rest of the day...Monkey ball. Anyway, the ceremony was held in front of the palm trees on the the white sandy beach just before the sunset, the mariachi played as Tony and Jenn said there vows and were joined. The weather, the atmosphere, everything was perfect! I have not had a chance to go through all of the images but I thought I would put up a few for now. I'll put the rest up later!
Desiree and I were walking along the beach yesterday morning after shooting a wedding. We walked past these sand bags that they are using to rebuild the beaches and noticed this sign. It should be obvious what it means but it just looked odd. So I think they really don't want people dancing on one foot on top of these berms. (especially since there was a bar right there on the beach... I can see that going wrong in a hurry!!

Mobile blog test. This is just a test. Were this a real blog post it would be followed by some fantasticle images.
We had a great week last week. Not only was it Easter, We had a great wedding Saturday, and a successful Legacy sessions special! We have, up until this year, not really done specials. We thought it on par with the state of the world's financial situation to do a few bundled options at a less than normal cost. We are doing one special every month. Our first one was focused on our Legacy sessions. These b/w sessions are designed to focus on the relationships that we all share. We really want to focus on the generational aspect of the family. Anyway, we had a number of wonderful families come in and take advantage of the special and also create images that they will hold dear to them forever. Desiree and I each also took advantage of this time to do legacy sessions with each of our families. I am posting a few of the images that we captured during our legacy special and I'm including some of the images from each of our families!
We recently had the opportunity to photograph Cassius. His mom, Michelle, owns and operates Exotica in Motion. An exercise studio next door to us. They specialize in fitness programs with the workout focus on Pole dancing. I will do another blog on that later probably with some images that we have done for some of her advertising pieces... This however is about Cassius. He is preparing for his first Communion and they wanted to do some images of him that really reflected his personality at this time. We knew we wanted to do the shoot around some big crosses and could only come up with two locations one was the Cross of the Martyrs in Santa Fe the other Tome Hill in Tome. We decided to take the shorter route and went to Tome. It was a nice pleasant afternoon until we started hiking up to the top of the hill. Holy wind Batman! It was a crazy fight to stay upright while shooting and I was, at one point, blown off a rock. I'm not a small dude so that shows you how strong the wind was... Anyway, aside from a little dirt in our eyes and teeth, we did pretty well...
