another quickie

So, we have had some very nice sunsets lately, well not last night, My session got rained on, but I did see the bats fly out from under the central bridge... but I digress.
So the sunsets... well here is another example from a recent wedding. Desiree photographed this while I was working with them on a more traditional image. I looked to my left and she was laying in the grass with the fisheye on... I'm not sure why I come to weddings anymore. Desiree is amazing!

...a day to remember...

We met Tana and Dominic about two years ago when they contracted with us to photograph their wedding. The long days of planning finally paid off. They had a beautiful wedding at Four Hills country club. Rain came and went, clouds gave anice comfortable shade for the ceremony, it was great. Here are twenty some odd images of the wedding. It was hard to pick so few... N-joy
Oh here is some vendor info:
DJ- Jim Gross
Decor-Distracted by Decor
Food/venue- Four Hills
Officiant- Linda @ awakened weddings
Cake- Unique Cakes by Karen

Dominoes were all laid out in the locker room as the boys were getting ready, I made them all into a heart shape but liked the look of the scattered image better!

We don't often shoot at Four Hills, I had forgotten the men get ready in the locker room downstairs!

Men often have a hard time smiling. When, however, their daughter stands in front of them for the first time, it's hard not to smile, or cry...

I don't think Dominic stopped smiling all night.

I love clouds!

I also love our little lighting secrets!!

What?

Funny how this never happens with the bouquet!

our wonderful wedding winners

Here are our love story giveaway winners. Miranda, Enrico, and Jadyn. We met their family at the botanical gardens a few weeks ago to do the connection session. We had a great time running jumping and playing.
Jadyn was little miss Audrie Hepburn in her black dress and big glasses. It was great. We, unfortunately, forgot to take the bug spray and the mosquitoes were out early this year. Miranda got over 30 bites, and no West Nile Virus! WooHoo!
Anyway the Botanical gardens make for a really fun place to shoot it's so diverse, just bring sunscreen, bug spray and a plan of where to go and when, otherwise you run out of time before you know it!
We had a great time with this beautiful family and are excited for their wedding!

Mora, I couldn't wish for a more beautiful place to photograph

Even though it is a 2 and 1/2 drive to get there, being able to photograph in such a beautiful little town was SO worth the drive.
Matias grew up on a huge piece of land right in the middle of the valley. A few acres of corn, a few of hay, a few of peas and beans and who knows what all else, separated the house from the mountainside.
We followed Megan up to Mats land to photograph them out in God's country. We stayed on his land for most of the shoot and made our way, just before sunset, to his cousins land that had an old dilapidated mill. we shot around the mill until sunset and then headed back home. I fell in love with the area and am now wanting to by some land up there! If anyone knows a guy.....
Anyway, We are so grateful for the opportunity to photograph such great people in such great places. and i appreciate the help that Mats family offered, we had 2 assistants hold reflectors and lights, it was great! We ended up with more pictures because Desiree was able to shoot instead of assisting me... Enjoy the images! If you know of a beautiful place to shoot, give us a ring!
