As more of our posts start, this is a long awaited post. Not as long as some but long enough. I had someone tell me about still seeing the same post for weeks now... I know, I know. This whole being busy excuse is starting to be a problem.
Anyway, this was by far one of the coolest sessions we have been able to do this year. Yes, because it was on a dairy farm, yes because I was lifted 10' in the air on a loader to do pictures, and yes because it was a 2 family session. However, what was even better than that was the opportunity we had to step into the lives of these two families. They didn't come to the studio to get a standard portrait, they invited us into their world, as smelly as it might be sometimes, to photograph them in the environment that expressed the personality of their families.
I told them I wouldn't write a blog unless I stepped in something, then I would have something to write about, turns out I did step in something. Even still I, wanted to write about our experience.
The Cox and the Jones family were both great fun, from the Asian Smiling to the Mutton Bustin' belt buckle.
FYI the old tractor was an original on the farm, a symbol of the legacy started three generations ago, the new tractor near the haystacks is it's continuation!
thanks for letting us step into your lives for the afternoon and be a part of who you are!

I love both slide shows. These families are beautiful. What a beautiful life. I love the cowboys!
