Dead Battery...Mag light to the rescue!!

We were so excited for Tarryn & Luca's wedding. It was new years day, nearly the entire wedding was after dark. We were also shooting for the first time at a new venue that had recently opened and we hadn't photographed in.
We got there and Desiree immediately went to meet Tarryn as she was getting ready. I met the gentlemen and did a few photos and then took a break to get my lights set up for the formal pictures and the reception. I pulled my video light out, plugged it in, turned it on and the light immediately dimmed. The freezing cold all but completely zapped the battery and the my back-up battery as well. It was 5:55 and I was freaking out.
I looked at my options and although we could have used our speed lights, I was really wanting to use a continuous light source. and one with a narrower projection.
So, I knew that there was a Lowes just around the corner so I hopped in the van and sped over there. I got there just as they were closing the doors. It was 5:59 and they closed at 6:00. I ran to the exit door, showed the guy guarding the doors my phone how it said 5:59 and begged him to let me in. I ran to the registers found 2 Mag lights (regular and LED) and a pack of batteries, grabbed them and headed back to the hotel. And thank goodness they worked beautifully!
So if you are in a pickle, Mag-lights baby!
