If only the elk wasn't there...

We had a pretty crazy weekend a few weeks back. We went from Taos to Chamita, then to Angel Fire, then back down to Santa Fe, then just south of Santa Fe. Three days of all day shooting! Though we have posted some image from a couple of the other shoots, this is the wedding that started the weekend off.
If you have not been to Taos, NM you should. It's beautiful. If you have not been to El Monte Sagrado, you should do that as well it is a beautiful resort and a wonderful place to get married. There were only two things that were a little weird for us. First the bridal suite is the Kama Sutra room. And yes, there were Kama Sutra paintings everywhere. I can't say that it's really romantic looking around and seeing stylized ancient Indians in varying sexual positions, but whatever, maybe that's just me! The second thing which I still go back and forth on is the humongo elk sculpture at the end of the central lawn. It's kinda cool in and of itself but as a backdrop to a really nice wedding... seems strange to me...
Anyway, aside from that it is the perfect place for your northern new mexico wedding.
Merissa and David were had an intimate group of friends and family with them as they celebrated their wedding. the weather was beautiful, the food was fantastic, it was just a great time!
