two mormons, a jew, and a catholic walk into a ghost town...

two mormons and jew and a catholic walk into a ghost town... though it does sound like it could be funny, no, this is not the beginning of a religious joke. We did however laugh, a lot, during a recent shoot in a little town outside of ABQ, NM.

Macall and Brandon are a SUPER cute couple. Macall, full of light and life- Brandon full of patience and humility! (don't worry brandon, I gotchur back). We have been wanting to shoot here for a long time and when we talked with these two we knew that they were going to be a good match for the location! We did not expect the freakin, cold breeze, wait scratch that, WIND, to be as bad as it was.
Ok so the central New Mexico plains are notoriously windy, hence the big ol ugly windfarms that contour the landscape. Anyway, that is a rant for another time!
We started in a old house, that gave us some shelter from the wind. We figured by all the bird nests and piles of birdy-doo, that it gave a lot of critters a haven from the weather. anyway we had plans to kinda shoot all over the town but realized quickly we didn't have to everything we needed was right there.
We did hop across the street to the local motel, still sporting the green shag carpet. (awesome!!!)
The hotel sign was two sided, one side was perfectly normal, the other side... not so much... Instead on New Management it said, new menagement. right next to the "MENAGE"-ment was Lo low rates... HMMMM... I wonder what went on in that hotel!!! Especially in that jungle room with the shag carpet!!
So we continued on and found the old car we were looking for, we closed the night on top of the old car and I would say all in all, not too dang bad!
