What cameras do I recommend

We have been asked by many people, what camera we suggest. That question can't be answer in a single response, we have to ask what type of camera they want, what the camera is going to be used most for, what they have to spend on a camera, etc.. however, if I had to suggest a general use SLR camera that it would be the Nikon D40x. Why? It's a good camera based on a long history of good cameras. It's easy to use, makes a great print, and is very affordable. You can get it for about $700.00.
The D40x is 10mp. The d40 is 6. The d40 is available for about $500.00
If you are looking for a point and shoot. There are so many options that is is getting harder to recommend just one. I do recommend Fuji film and Nikon. Why Nikon and Fuji? personal experience. I have never been disappointed or let down by my equipment. even my little Nikon (finepix L4) that I took apart and modified for IR photography, works great!
So there are my suggestions!
