Grandma Mari 1924-2008

Just shy of five year of being by himself in heaven, our 'Papa-D' couldn't wait any longer and came back to bring his beloved wife of 60 some-odd years back home with him. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to our three boys, Mardell Speers, returned home to be with our grandpa whom she loved and missed dearly. She left her body yesterday, in the same bedroom where papa-d passed, just feet from the same spot. Though we will greatly miss her chasing the boys around the house trying to give them lipstick kisses, her endless Sunday afternoon golf watching, her complaining about gaining an extra pound, and her telling us the same stories and asking the same questions four or five time a day (she was 84 after all),
we are so glad that she is finally able to be back with her family and in the arms or her husband and best friend.
Her memorial will be on Monday at the National Cemetery in Santa-Fe, NM.
Our plans are to be back in the studio and to work the day or two following her burial.

As beautiful and celebrated is birth, should also be death. Though a spot on this earth and in our hearts is now empty, a new spot in heaven is full. Life is renewed and eternity awaits.
