A Few From Los Poblanos

One of our favorite places to shoot is Los Poblanos Inn and Cultural Center.
It is such a beautiful place. Everyone who sees the images from Los Poblanos asks where it is, and no one believes it is just up the street a few miles from our studio.
When we are there, it does seem like we are in another place. The air is more humid, the smells of lavender and wild flowers drift by. Walking the tree lined driveway, we can here the wind blowing the leaves of the giant Elm trees. The peacocks can also be heard in different corners of the property. The turquoise color of the peacocks contract the deep red of the chili ristras that hang throughout the property.
A bridge here, a bench there, a liitle nook, or grassy clearing; it's just a great place to be.

The receptions are great. The reception center is a classic elegant design. A huge fireplace provides plenty of heat for the winter receptions. The food comes fresh from the gardens at los poblanos itself. The most wonderful meals i have had at a reception have all been here. Ahhh, I would be content shooting there every week!

I am posting some of our favorite images from LP below!

Bentley & Sean; a walk through time

OK, so there are a few event planners that Desiree and I really like to work with. One of whom is planning her own wedding and another great coordinator is doing the day of coordinating for that wedding. Bentley with Savoir-Faire Event is gittin' hitched to the beau of her dreams- Sean.
Karen with Celebrations will be helping Bentley with all of the 'day of' coordinating.

After the crazy winds from the first week in March forced us to postpone our shoot, we were able to meet up with Sean and Bentley on an absolutely beautiful day the next week in an absolutely beautiful place! I could have spent the entire day there shooting it was amazing. I have yet to look through all of the images from the shoot but here are a few that I pulled up while I was transferring the images to the computer. I was looking through a few of them this morning and there are a ton of great images. The wedding is going to be an intimate event with the closest friends and family there. We have the honor of being able to be there to see Sean and Bentley join together!
Keep up! -to see more engagement images and images from the wedding!
We love you Bentley! I hope a few of the images is just enough to arouse your appetite without beddin' her back down!
Here are 4 teasers for ya!

We started to session with some pretty straight forward modern images.

About an hour into the session we pulled out some props changed clothes and did things up how we like 'em, nice and different!

OK, No this is not on original idea, that is pretty obvious, but come on. have you seen a photo like this lately?

we try to pull in some environmental aspect into each shoot. The silo with the name and date on it is as bout as good as it gets to show where we were.
