We had a wonderful session with Matt and Melanie a while back, well, if you can forget about the horribly awful gnats! They were everywhere, we tried swatting at them, holding our hand up high so they wouldn't fly into our mouths, bug spray, nothing would work they were completely relentless. We all looked like a bunch of fools running and spitting and swatting, so we grabbed all the shots we needed and got out of there. I thought for sure we would be spending a great deal of time removing said pests from all the images but we were pleasantly surprised they chose not to make an appearance this time! Enjoy!
I'm pretty sure this was when Matt ate a gnat!
This is one of my favorites, and Matt and Melanie's too!
We travel to Santa Fe several times a year to shoot. It has however been a number of years since we went up into the mountains and photographed in the Santa Fe Aspen. We had a great time and look forward to the opportunity to work with these two again!
We recently went to northern NM for Mimi and Antonio's connection session. We started at Chimayo and ended on the edge of a small town near Espanola. on the way we drove through some of the prettiest countryside in NM we stopped along a little river where we were greeted with a few swallowtail butterflies. Mimi was a bit worried as she said they were "Poisonous butterflies" we made fun of her the rest of the session for thinking that butterflies were poisonous. After the session we were barely home for a few hours when she texted my a list of poisonous butterflies, we looked it up and sure enough a number of butterflies are poisonous. Who'da thunk it! so if you're ever out, don't get attacked by a group of butterflies! Anyway, like I said, we ended on the edge of a small town. We really didn't know which way to go. We were driving around until we found this road called "which Way". We took it and it led us to the perfect place!
Courtney and Steve are getting married in a couple of months and are living a couple of thousand miles from one another. He flew in for the session and left in such a rush he left his suit behind. So before the shoot they had to go suit shopping. It was a pretty windy day, especially out at the airport. Not many of us get a chance to do a session like this.
Every time Keri and Cody come over I can count on Desiree being unavailable for at least two hours. She has really enjoyed being able to sit down and talk with them. We were really looking forward to this shoot. We went out to Boca Negra canyon. We have been shooting out there for a number of years and have never run into any other photographers. This time there were several others around, nobody got in our way and we went where and when we wanted. For our next shoot they told us to do whatever we wanted to... I really can't wait for that one! be watching for some fabulous stuff soon!!!
We had a session set up for one of our secret locations. Just a couple of hours b4 the shoot our couple contacted us and said they really wanted to change the location and do it downtown in some retro styling that they are pretty fond of. I am so glad they did call. Even though it was freeeeekin' cold, we had a great time. The hat, the mink, the TLR, Classic... We look forward to Kay and Charles' wedding especially the hot chocolate!!!
